When traveling through life I've often stopped and thought, where does this road called life leading me.
Many times I've said or thought, "Does it really matter," We live and we die. That is for certain. But does what we do in between the beginning of the story and the end of the story really matter? There are so many choices in life to make that they really interfere with what we were designed to do. At least that is my conclusion. Whether your life has the smell of success and everything has been a cakewalk or even if life's difficulties are knocking on the front door every morning asking to come in and make your life miserable.
I've watched many good people through life who seem to constantly be moving from one traumatic event to the next. I'm sure you may have heard someone say, " Things are so good right now, I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop." Really ? I don't think that that is what the writer of the scripture meant when he said, " I wait in hopeful expectation."
In 1 Timothy 2 :1-4 the apostle Paul wrote " I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- for Kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful quiet lives in all Godliness and Holiness. This is good and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
If all we did in life was to hold onto this one scripture, it would certainly be enough to fill our days. So this week let's concentrate on taking everything to God in Prayer. Lets pray for others and be thankful. Let's live quiet peaceful lives in Godliness and Holiness. Let's do our best to please God our Saviour. Let us com to the place where we will all be saved and and come to a knowledge of the truth.
"In short, be a bright light. Pray for others and share what is truth.."
My prayer for you this week has to come from Numbers chapter 6: 24-26
May God bless you and keep you, (25) the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.(26) the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Amen and Amen
